I (Kaytlyn) sent a list of questions to Mara so that she could answer them instead of trying to think of things to write. Here are the questions are her responses.
1. What was the best thing that happened to you this week?
The best thing was probably when I messed up my spanish and said that my p-day was dead instead of tuesday. Or when one of my teachers who is an amazing singer and is really good about speaking in only spanish to us spoke in english.
2. When you go to the temple is the session in English or Spanish?
The sessions at the temple are always in spanish. Even if it were to be full of just missionaries they would still do it in spanish. Which I think is cool, today I understand a little more of the spanish. And of course the workers are always nice.
3. What is your companions name? Are you getting along well? Any funny moments recently?
My companera (companion) is Hermana Alyssa Butler. We have a few things that we disagree on but for the most part we get along fine. She is actually similar in ways to Erin´s sister who I stayed with in London, and when I realized that I thought that maybe I was meant to spend some time with her to help me prepare.
4. Did you have a favorite lesson or scripture from this past week?
When the one teacher talked in english he did it so that everyone would understand him when he talked about the importance of the atonement. His testimony was so strong and he really got his point across, and then he switched back to spanish, which was ok with me.
5. Have you decided on a mission scripture? (Mom will probably ask you this one too because she is trying to get your fancy thing put together)
I don´t remember right off the one that I wanted to use. I will make sure to write it down next time. If I don´t tell you something next week then just use Isaiah 54:7-8.
6. What did you learn this past week?
I learned that I don´t like greasy food and my stomach agrees with me on that. But more importantly I learned that even an 18 year old boy, when called of God and worthy to hold Gods priesthood, can give a very powerful health blessing. No matter how crazy that boy may be at other times.

7. Have I told you lately that I love you? ;)
Yes you have and I am very glad for it. Have I told you that I love you? I think I have but let me tell you again. I love you!!!!!!!!
